Also known as ransomware, this bit of code has the potential to encrypt all of the data in the affected computer, and make them inaccessible until the victim pays a sum of approximately $300 and above as ransom to receive a key to decrypt the data. It seems strange that people still depend on a vanilla anti-virus program in an era in which extremely dangerous malware like cryptoware (also known as ransomware) are flooding the net.
